Bio

The Electric Sea set sail from Tarpon Springs in early 2023 when longtime bandmates Bob Anthony (guitar/keys/vocals), Francis Blacklin (multi-instrumentalist) and Bryan “Bo” Rosengarten (guitar/vocals) joined with powerhouse drummer Clayton Jones and original bassist Rob Goodrich to create a musical gumbo of psych-soaked power pop, rootsy blues and twang, plus a fistful of hard rock wallop. It’s all mixed together on the band’s debut EP “Loose Five,” available on all streaming sites and BandCamp.

Along with the long list of memorable, dynamic original songs these seasoned vets of the regional music scene craft, classic tunes from the likes of Tom Petty, Warren Zevon, The Replacements, The Meters, Pink Floyd, and many more find their way into a list of the Electric Sea’s shanties. Sarasota-by-way-of-Philly transplant Paul Louis has jumped into the Sea’s bass chair, adding fevered backing vocals and enhancing the jammy side of the band with his nimble bass lines. In addition, Anthony and Rosengarten—and sometimes Blacklin, spin off as “The Electric Sea: Acoustic” to add another flavor to their gumbo. More recordings are on the way and many shows too. What’s left to do, but to join the Electric Sea for a deep dive into many musical colors!

1/16;/2026 The Electric Sea sailed into 2026 with an hour-long set on WMNF 88.5's Live Music Showcase. Along with sitting down for an interview with host and local troubadour Ken Apperson, we showcased tunes from “Loose Five” as well as a preview of tunes for our next release coming this year. It was also our last ride with bassist Rob Goodrich--when you see and hear us again, the thunder will be supplied by Paul Louis, veteran of Sarasota bands Another Roadside Attraction, Kid Red Band, and C. Knight and The Daze. Video and audio of the WMNF Live Music Showcase will be up here soon-check back!

11/16/2025  The Electric Sea went acoustic! The annual Kenwood Porchfest brought several bands and solo artists to front porches all over the historic St. Pete neighborhood: Bo, Bob, and Fran set up and brought the Sunday afternoon vibes. Bo and Bob sometimes play out as a duo; other times as a trio with Fran, and plan to play more Electric Sea: Acoustic shows, perhaps with the whole group! Contact us here if you would like to have the acoustic Electric Sea experience at your venue, party, soiree or event!

10/10/25 The Electric Sea celebrated Tom Petty's birthday by playing a full set of Tom Petty tunes covering works with the Heartbreakers, Mudcrutch and his solo career. We were excited to share the stage with Northstar, 105 Degrees Marty Fouts, David Warren and Gabe Whitney. NoiseMakers is a fantastic venue in downtown St. Petersburg, FL. It has the best vibe and always brings in great, friendly crowds. We hope to play there soon and to see you there!

8/1/2025 Today is Release Day! We are so excited to be able to bring you Loose Five, our first official record. You can find it on all major streaming platforms, iTunes and Bandcamp. We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we did recording it!
